Friday Morning FYI – 3/20/2015

Welcome to your Friday Morning FYI, my chance to share observations/wisdom/rants in short, easily consumed form.

This week’s FYI is all about patience:

Sometimes we have to work on someone else’s schedule. Or with someone else’s schedule. Whatever. The point is, you can’t make your phone ring, and the Refresh button is not your friend. Walk away. It’ll come when it comes.

Friday Morning FYI – 3/13/2015

Welcome to your Friday Morning FYI, my chance to share observations/wisdom/rants in short, easily consumed form.

This week’s FYI is inspired by good old positive thinking:

We all get upset, and angry, and sad. What you do then and how you get out of it is what matters. Hanging on to bad feelings is like clutching a red hot fork. The fork doesn’t care about your hand. All you’re doing is burning and scaring yourself. Let. It. Go.

Friday Morning FYI – 2/27/2015

Welcome to your Friday Morning FYI, my chance to share observations/wisdom/rants in short, easily consumed form.

This week’s FYI is inspired by a great conversation I recently had with a friend:

When creating, something is done when you decide it’s done, but it being done doesn’t mean it’s good. To know if something is good, look to (and trust) others. If they tell you it’s not good (or not as good as it can be), it may, in truth, not be done.

Friday Morning FYI – 1/16/2015

Welcome to your Friday Morning FYI, my chance to share observations/wisdom/rants in short, easily consumed form.

This week’s FYI is inspired by how I feel when I spend every free moment I have writing/editing rather than wasting time on something unproductive:

Procrastination is the nemesis of creativity.

Thanks for reading, and may we all have a blessed 2015.

Friday Morning FYI – 1/2/2015 (Happy New Year!)

Welcome to your Friday Morning FYI, my chance to share observations/wisdom/rants in short, easily consumed form.

This week’s FYI is inspired by the new year and the people I love:

A little understanding goes along way, and a little love goes even further. Remember that as the new year starts, and keep it all year long.

Thanks for reading, and may we all have a blessed 2015.
